Scarcity of water becomes the daily bread of some unfortunate people in some quarters in Dschang.

The absence of water in some quarters of Dschang is a chronic disease without remedy where some people sometimes goes by for weeks without this golden liquid which is indispensable in our daily house chores and this phenomenon often slows down individual’s activities for the working class while some students equally goes to their respective schools very late. The latter has to cover a long distance to get some water so as to have some of this liquid which is going being use in their various activities.

On the other hand, this practice has led to breakage of pipes in some of those areas where water flows rarely and in so doing every day marks a broken pipe so as to have this golden liquid thus giving the suppliers of water a hard bone to bite and a serious work done where they spend most of their times mending this broken pipes. This act has eventually pave a way for moral exploitation where some people who has water storage tend to sell water at a very high cost than expected leaving those in need with no option than to buy at the price dictated on them. This scarcity has also give way to some youths who after school go round carrying water and supplying to people which in return pays them for the service rendered and they use this money to go for their needs.

This explains the reason why the rate of typhoid keeps increasing as days goes by and by due to the fact that in absence of portable, clean and good water to drink some people are bound to drink any water they come across so as to quench their cost which ends up by landing them in the hospital where they spend more money just to get rid of typhoid which has become a common disease in the society in which they live in.
